London, June 12 (ANI): Young Pakistan all-rounder Fawad Alam and opening batsman Shahzaib Hasan are hoping to get a chance in the super-eight match against Sri Lanka in the ICC World Twenty 20 Championship.
Both the players are raring to go if given an opportunity in the match which would be played later this evening.
While Alam did get an opportunity in the last game against The Netherlands, Hasan has still not been tried in the tournament so far.
The only game Hasan has played on this tour was the practice match against India, in which he failed to impress.
Now, both the players are looking forward for an opportunity to show their worth, The News reports.
"It was great to get a chance in the previous game. I always try my best to ensure that I can play a role for my team and hope to do that whenever I get a chance to play in this tournament," Alam said.
Hasan admitted he still has to learn a lot, but is eagerly waiting to get an 'official' chance.
"To be staying and practicing with such great players is an honour.I'm trying to learn as much as I can from the senior players," he added. (ANI)
